Costs involved

• Purchase of greyhound the cost of a greyhound can vary enormously. The better the greyhound, naturally, the bigger the price. A racing greyhound can be purchased for as little as £200.
• Training Fees keeping a greyhound in training is relatively inexpensive, usually £4.00 per day. This fee covers all duties performed by the trainer including training, feeding and general care of the greyhound.

Additional costs could include . . .

• Greyhound health vet fees are chargeable to the greyhound owner. Vet fees can include such things as innoculations, treatment for injury, etc

Some additional one-off costs may include . . .

• Greyhound Registration currently £30 for a single owner and a total of £39 for two owners. A charge of £55 is made for a syndicate for the first greyhound and then £10 per greyhound after this initial cost.
• Greyhound Name Change you may change the name of your greyhound (in accordance with the Rules of Racing) at a current charge of £50.
